You tried to explain,
To make me understand,
But I couldn't hear you.
The sound of your voice, that was once so sweet, slurred,
And I couldn't understand a word you were saying.
All I could hear was the pounding of my heart.
Soon your face became a blur,
And that was the last time I saw you.
